Llamacoids / Lamacoid FAQ / Lamacoid cost

How much does a lamacoid cost? What sets the price.

A lamacoid is priced by its area, so a 1" × 3" tag (3 square inches) costs a fraction of a 2" × 4" panel plate (8 square inches). Quantity changes the rate at 25, 50 and 100 pieces. Colours outside the stocked four, custom shapes, tax and shipping are added on top. The Lamacoid Builder shows a live price.

How is a lamacoid priced?

By plate area. Width times height gives the square inches, and the price follows from that, so a small breaker tag costs a fraction of a large panel plate. A 1" × 3" plate is 3 square inches; a 2" × 4" plate is 8. The final price then depends on the specification and the quantity, before tax and shipping.

What changes the price of a lamacoid?

Size and quantity move the price the most. The rest depends on what the job asks for.

FactorHow it affects the price

DeliveryCanada Post rates show in the builder before tax. Pickup at the Burlington shop is free.

Do volume discounts apply?

Yes. The rate steps down at 25, 50 and 100 pieces. Sending one list for the whole job, panel tags, nameplates, legend plates and valve tags together, keeps the colours and text heights consistent and usually lands the order in a better tier.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Small jobs are welcome, from a single replacement tag to a few thousand plates.

How do I get an exact price?

Two ways. Design the plate in the Lamacoid Builder, where the price updates as you change the width, height, wording and colour. Or email the full list to sales@llamacoids.ca and Jake sends back a line-item quote.

Nothing is charged in the builder. "Create quote & send proofs" emails you a quote and a PDF proof to approve.

Why are lamacoids priced by area instead of per tag?

Because area is what the plate uses. A breaker tag and a 4" × 6" warning plate are cut from the same sheet on the same laser, and a per-tag price would overcharge one and undercharge the other. Pricing by area keeps a mixed schedule fair line by line.

More questions

Does the price include shipping?

No. Prices are before tax and shipping. The builder shows Canada Post rates once you enter a postal code, and pickup at the Burlington shop is free.

Are lamacoid and lamicoid priced differently?

No. They are two spellings of the same product, and the price is the same whichever word your drawing uses.
