Wording that matches your controls

Order the legends from your control drawing: START, STOP, RESET, HAND–OFF–AUTO, equipment numbers or your own wording. A short function name may fit on one line; a selector switch may need several positions identified. Send the exact text and intended line breaks so the plate can be laid out around the available space.

Send the dimensions that determine fit

A 22 mm or 30 mm device description is a starting point, not a complete plate drawing. The outside shape, opening, retaining hardware and space between neighbouring controls also matter. For a cutout or a replacement plate, send a dimensioned drawing or the existing plate measurements for review.

• Outside width and height: include the units and any corner or shape requirements.
• Opening or holes: give the diameter, position and any slot or notch dimensions.
• Text area: identify any required character height and the space above or below the control.
• Colour: specify background first, then lettering; for example, black background with white lettering.
• Quantity: list the number of copies of each legend.

We quote custom engraved plates to the supplied specification. We do not assume that a generic plate fits every device with the same nominal size. If you need a manufacturer's proprietary holder or a specific replacement part, include its part number.

New panels and replacement legends

For a new panel, group the legends by panel or machine and keep each device reference beside its wording. For a replacement, a straight-on photograph helps show the layout, but include measurements as well. Identify what must match: font appearance, colour, plate thickness, opening or hole spacing.

Tell us how the plate will be mounted. Adhesive backing, screw holes or a device opening require different details. If the job involves heat, cleaning chemicals or outdoor exposure, send those conditions so material suitability can be confirmed.

Pricing and turnaround

Plates are priced by area. Final pricing depends on the plate specification and quantity. Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days; send the required date with your request for complex shapes or larger sets. Rush timing is available on request.
