Why engraved beats vinyl catalogs
Off-the-shelf vinyl warning stickers are cheap on day one and gone by year two. Heat near motors, washdown chemicals, abrasion on high-traffic doors, and outdoor UV all kill printed film. The adhesive lets go; the ink chalks out; the message disappears right when someone needs it.
A lamacoid warning plate is different. The legend is engraved through a coloured surface layer to expose a contrasting core — no ink, no printed film. Screw or rivet it to equipment, racking, or a door frame and it stays legible for the life of the install. That permanence is why facility standards often reject stuck-on vinyl for permanent hazard identification.

What's the difference between engraved warning labels and vinyl stickers?
Vinyl stickers and Brady-style printed tags use ink on film with adhesive backing — they peel, fade, and chalk out under heat, solvents, and UV. Engraved lamacoid plates cut the legend through a coloured surface into a contrasting core, so there's no ink to fade and no film to peel. For permanent warehouse and facility hazard ID, engraved is the durable option.
Which colours do you stock for DANGER, CAUTION, and WARNING?
Red background with white lettering is standard for DANGER and many WARNING legends. Yellow/black is the usual CAUTION colour. Black/white and white/black are available for general facility ID. We can match your facility standard or drawing callouts.
Can you match our existing facility legend wording?
Yes. Send a photo, PDF, or spreadsheet of the legends you need — including bilingual EN/FR if required — and we'll engrave to match. Custom sizes for doors, racking, and equipment are routine.
Do warning labels come with adhesive or screw holes?
Both. We supply 3M adhesive backing for fast indoor installs, or pre-drilled holes (typically 1/8" or 3/16") for screw or rivet mounting on metal and rigid surfaces — more reliable for permanent hazard ID.
