What does Llamacoids do?
We make engraved ID plates for electrical and industrial equipment. Electricians, plant maintenance teams and solar installers send a tag list, we send back a quote and a PDF proof, and the plates get cut once the proof is approved. Orders run from one replacement tag to a few thousand plates.
Is Llamacoids the same as lamacoids?
No. A lamacoid (one L) is the product, an engraved plastic tag. Llamacoids Inc (two Ls) is the company. Search engines sometimes treat our name as a typo for the product, so if you're looking for us, the address is www.llamacoids.ca.
Where is Llamacoids located?
1550 Yorkton Court, Unit 7, Burlington, Ontario L7P 5B7, north of the QEW. Every plate is engraved there. Most work goes to Halton, Hamilton, Peel and Toronto, and orders ship anywhere in Canada.

How are the plates made?
On a Trotec Speedy 400 laser, from two-colour acrylic laminate. A shallow pass removes the top colour where the letters go, and a deeper pass cuts the outline, corners and holes. How lamacoids are made walks through it.
Does Llamacoids certify installations?
No. We engrave plates to the wording you send, and we don't certify or inspect installations. Code compliance stays with the installer and the responsible engineer or inspector. If a spec names a material or a rating, send it and it gets confirmed before engraving.
