Llamacoids / All lamacoids / Lamicoids
Lamicoids. Same tag as a lamacoid, different spelling.
A lamicoid is an engraved two-colour plastic tag or nameplate, and it's the same product as a lamacoid. Lamicoid is the spelling you'll see in Quebec and in supplier catalogues. If your drawing says lamicoid, we can make it. Plates are engraved in Burlington, Ontario, same day once the proof is approved, and shipped across Canada.

Is a lamicoid the same as a lamacoid?
Yes. They are two spellings of one word for one product. The word started as a trade name and became the generic Canadian term. Whichever spelling your drawing or spec uses, the plate, the price and the process are the same.
The longer story is in lamacoid or lamicoid.
What other spellings mean the same thing?
People spell it a lot of ways, and they're all looking for the same engraved tag.

What are lamicoids made of?
Two-colour acrylic engraving laminate: a thin coloured surface bonded to a contrasting core. Engraving removes the surface, so the core forms the letters. It's rigid and non-conductive. See lamacoid material for thickness and spec notes.
Do you make lamicoid labels and tags?
Yes, both. Labels have adhesive backing and tags are drilled or hung. Panel tags, breaker tags, MCC plates, equipment nameplates, legend plates and valve tags are all available, with no minimum order.
Start with labels, tags or the size chart.
Can you engrave French wording?
Yes. French wording and accents are fine, and the builder's solar kit produces placards in English, French or both. Send the text exactly as it should read. Une plaque lamicoïde is the same plate as an English lamacoid.
