Acrylic nameplates are engraved plates cut from two-colour acrylic laminate, used on office doors, desks, rooms and equipment. Door and desk plates are usually 2" × 8" or 2" × 10", with a logo above or below the name if you want one. We engrave them in Burlington, Ontario and ship across Canada.

What sizes are door and desk name plates?
2" × 8" and 2" × 10" are the usual sizes for a door or desk name plate. Any other width and height can be cut, so send the space you have if you're matching an existing holder or an old plate.

Can a name plate have a logo?
Yes, above or below the name. The Lamacoid Builder takes an optional logo, or send the artwork with your list. Simple one-colour artwork engraves cleanest, because the logo shows in the core colour like the letters do.
What colours look best on a name plate?
Black/white and carbon/white are safe picks for an office. Carbon/white has a darker, textured look, and white/blue gives clean contrast on light walls. Those three plus red/white are stocked, and other colours are quoted on request.
How do acrylic name plates mount?
Adhesive backing for a smooth door or wall, drilled holes for screws, or both on one plate so the installer can choose on site. Say which on the order. If a plate sits in an existing holder, send the inside measurements of the holder.
Can you do a whole building or office?
Yes. Send one row per plate with the wording, size and colour. A single list keeps every plate matching, and the rate steps down at 25, 50 and 100 pieces. You get a PDF proof before anything is engraved.

Is there a minimum order for name plates?
No. One name plate is fine.
How fast can I get a name plate?
Same day once the PDF proof is approved for typical jobs. Pick it up in Burlington, or have it shipped by Canada Post or courier.
Do you make clear acrylic desk signs?
No. Ours are two-colour laminate with the letters cut through to the core. Clear acrylic signs are a different product from a sign shop.
