The new Lamacoid Builder: design, preview and order on one screen

The Lamacoid Builder is how most of our customers design and price engraved lamacoid tags. This update puts every step on one screen, so you can design a tag, check it at real size and build up a full order without opening a single pop-up.

01Three panels, left to right

The screen reads the way you work. Each panel is numbered so you always know what comes next.

1. Design: 1 Text, 2 Size, 3 ColourType your wording (Enter adds a line), pick a font and an optional logo, choose the size, then pick plate and letter colours from the swatches. More colours open from the same row.
2. Preview: 4 FinishThe plate draws at 100% scale on a grid, with its width, height, letter height and area underneath. Choose adhesive back, screw holes and a bevelled edge right below it.
3. Your orderAdd the tag to your list with a quantity and your own reference. Every line keeps its part number, so you can edit, duplicate or reorder it later.

02Size by letter height or by plate size

Most specs call out a letter height, so the builder starts there. Pick 1/4" letters and the plate grows to fit your longest line. If one line should stand out, use the 1× menu beside it to make that line bigger.

Already know the plate size? Switch to Plate size, choose a common size such as 1" × 3" or 2" × 4", and the letters grow to the largest height that fits. Inches and millimetres are one click apart at the top right.

03Start fast: solar kits, name tags and bulk orders

The bulk import has its own write-up: order hundreds of tags from the spreadsheet you already have.

04Finish options, right under the preview

Finish is part of the design, so it sits where you can see the result:

• Adhesive back for flat, clean panel faces.
• Screw holes, two (one each end) or four (one per corner), with the diameter and edge inset you need. Text margins open up automatically so the lettering clears the hardware.
• Bevelled edge for a finished, factory look.

Open More options for text alignment, all capitals, line spacing, corner radius and bevel width.

05Delivery, shipping rates and pickup

Open Delivery in the order panel and type a postal code. Canada Post rates appear right there, before tax, and you can add the ship-to name, address and phone. Local? Choose free pickup at our Burlington shop.

06Quotes and proofs, with nothing charged

When the list is ready, press Create quote & send proofs. You get a quote and a PDF proof by email to approve. Nothing is charged on the builder.

Need to come back to a job? Open job takes a quotation number and reopens the whole order, or a part number to load a single tag. Job details keeps your company, PO and notes with the order.
